Chubb Insurance Company of Europe has named Maureen Higdon as its new UK/Ireland manager.
She assumes responsibility for all classes of business in the UK and Ireland, reporting to Chubb Europe chief executive Chris Giles.
Mrs Higdon succeeds Greg Georgieff, who is returning to Chubb in the US as chief marketing officer after five years as UK/Ireland manager.
Mrs Higdon has worked for Chubb since 1980, in both the US and Europe. She transferred to London as assistant manager of Chubb Commercial Insurance for Europe in 2002, before returning to the US as regulatory compliance manager.
Giles said: “Maureen is an extremely talented manager who puts great emphasis on driving operational excellence and building strong relationships with both brokers and customers.
The depth of her knowledge and breadth of her experience will be a great asset to Chubb Europe and will help drive the business forward. We're thrilled she's chosen to return to Europe.”
