Chubb Insurance is set to launch a 'mix and match' cover aimed at meeting the changing needs of the technology industry.

The insurer said the package would cater for the property, liability and professional indemnity needs of the information, communication and technology (ICT) sector.

Paul Skinner, senior ICT underwriter at Chubb, said: "We have tried to produce a mix and match product. That's where we're slightly different, by allowing our clients to get to the nub of what they want.

"Customers can choose the desired level of cover and as their business evolves they can adjust the policy to match their changing needs. They can tailor their own policies by choosing the necessary levels of cover for each option."

The policy is available in a tiered structure: Chubb standard, superior or premier package. It can be bought on a modular basis.

The policy wording has been simplified to ensure transparency, according to the insurer.

Veronica Somarriba, zone underwriting manager at Chubb, said it would target new business through its broker base.
