The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has announced the appointment of two directors, Peter Martin and Keith Trower.
Martin has succeeded David Ringrow as the new finance director, while Trower has been appointed to the new position of sales and operations director.
Both appontments are effective from October 1, 2001.
Martin was previously chief finance officer of Educational Enterprises at the British Council. The CII said his remit would include the financial management of the CII and the provision of IT services.
Trower joined from Ultrasis, where he was sales and marketing director.
CII director general Sandy Scott paid tribute to David Ringrow, who resigned from the CII last week.
"David made a valuable contribution to the CII over a number of years and I would like to record our thanks to him. All of us at the CII wish him well in the future," he said.
