The Chartered Insurance Institute has sanctioned 55 senior members who have not complied with its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

At a hearing last week the CII's disciplinary panel decided each affected member will have their CII accreditation removed in October unless they achieve compliance.

Under CII rules all chartered titleholders are required to provide evidence of CPD for the past three years.

Gary Maydon, the CII's general counsel and legal director said: "The CII treats the failure to comply with CPD very seriously. It is the duty of a Professional person both to maintain their competence and to demonstrate this when asked to do so."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
