The CII is to present a series of lunchtime lectures at Lloyd's during October.

There is no charge for these presentations which all commence at 1.15 in Lloyd's Old Library. Attendees do not need to hold a Lloyd's pass.

Those wishing to attend are required to register at least one day beforehand with the Insurance Institute

The presentations are as follows.

· Monday 13 October - "This House Believes the Insurance Industry is Failing UK plc", will be given by R O Hudson (President, The Chartered Insurance Institute; Group Risk Director, Royal & SunAlliance) - for the motion and R Reddaway (Vice President - Corporate Insurance & Risk Management, GlaxoSmithKlein) - against the motion. NOTE: This lecture is held at Royal and SunAlliance, 30 Berkeley Square, London W1X 5HA

· Tuesday 14 March - "Port Security and Terrorism Risk" will be given by P H Zoubek (Partner - Litigation Department, Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP)

· Wednesday 15 March - "Russia's B(l)ooming" will be given by Mrs N Karpova (Deputy General Director (Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims) Alfa Insurance Group)

· Thursday 16 March - "The Risks and Rewards of International Airshows" will be given by D Norriss (Director - Marketing and Business Development, The Society of British Aerospace Companies)

· Tuesday 21 October - "Insurers Paddling Against the Tide? UK and European Flood Loss Quantification", will be given by E Manning (Head of Research and Development, R K Carvill Company) and R Muir-Wood (Managing Director - Global Risk Modelling, Risk Management Services)

· Wednesday 22 October - "Employers' Liability - A Market in Crisis" will be given by G Quartly (Employers' Liability Manager, Iron Trades Insurance Company)

· Thursday 23 October - "Lloyd's Vehicles - An Attractive Investment?" will be given by M J Wade (Chief Executive Officer, Rostrum Group)
