ClaimEx, the national alliance of chartered loss adjusters, is in talks with at least 30 independent adjusters in a bid to expand.
The network of claim experts began with six practices.
However, managing director Richard Hanson-James said an increased workload meant it needed to grow.
Hanson-James said the network wanted adjusters that acted for policyholders only.
"Our history is fighting contentious and repudiated claims through a variety of dispute resolution methods," he said.
"But we're trying to build an awareness that businesses particularly would be advised to get their own adjuster on board as soon as they make a claim."
Alan Cleary is chairman of the ClaimEx board, which comprises Martin Almond, Quentin Clarke, Steve Higham, Sandy Sandison, Terry Smith, David Toser, Geoff Williams and Hanson-James.
