In an article in this week's Insurance Times (‘Primary affinity business drive', p8) a number of inaccuracies were published.
Primary Broker Services would like to point out the following:
• John Bibby is not the MD of Primary Broker Services nor does he have any involvement with this business. Jonathan Davey is the MD of the business as well as being CEO of PBS Holdings Limited its immediate parent company.
• Primary Broker Services is a ‘virtual insurer' and a commercial underwriting business.
• Primary Broker Services deals only through intermediaries and has no direct business at all. Nor does it intend to trade direct with consumers be they corporate or individual.
• Primary Broker Services is not a brand that will be obsolete by the end of 2005. It has no association with Acumus which is an entirely separate business.
• Acumus Insurance Solutions Limited is not a subsidiary of PBS. It is however a subsidiary of Primary Group Limited.
• Acumus incorporates the business of Primary Travel Insurance Services. This brand will be discontinued at the end of 2005.
