Camberford Law is spearheading an initiative to help cleaning and services companies obtain liability cover.
Associate director Paul Cooper said many cleaning companies had branched out into riskier areas ,such as window cleaning and building maintenance, thus losing their traditional insurance markets.
The intermediary, which has the UK's biggest cleaning scheme, has invited three cleaning trade organisations, and insuers Groupama and Zurich to a seminar on 18 December in London.
They intend to set up training and risk management initiatives to enable insurers to identify good cleaning risks.
