CNA is to offer medical expenses cover in the event of a terrorist attack as part of its Biba Protect travel insurance product.

CNA will now offer travel insurance coverage for medical expenses and emergency repatriation following a terrorism incident. Losses from a nuclear, chemical, or biological weapon attack will continue to be excluded.

Blanket terrorism exclusions on travel insurance policies were introduced following the September 11 terror attacks in the US.

The Biba Protect policy is available exclusively for Biba members.

Biba technical services manager Graeme Trudgill said: “The Biba Protect travel policy has long had a well-deserved reputation for offering superior coverage.

“This latest enhancement to the product keeps Biba Protect in the forefront of leading travel policies.”
