CNA Financial Corporation has announced its European insurance operations - CNA Insurance Company Limited and CNA Insurance Company (Europe) Limited - have received a capital injection of £43.2m.
This brings the consolidated shareholder funds of the companies to roughly £105m.
CNA Europe's chief executive Keith Davies said: "This latest capital injection underlines CNA's continuing commitment to global development and, in particular, its desire to build upon the solid platform which it now has in Northern Europe."
He added that CNA has made substantial progress in the last twelve months by improving underwriting results and positioning the company better for future expansion.
