COBRA Network has announced that Borland Financial Services has become the 94th broker to join.
Established in 1993 and based in Scotland, Borland Financial Services provides general insurance and financial services. COBRA said it is the first broker to join from Scotland.
John Lincoln, COBRA Network's managing director, said: “Our plan is to add at least nine more members from Scotland over the next year in addition to our growth in England.”
He added: "We have three applications currently at the ‘due-diligence' stage and a further seven brokers have indicated they will submit applications over the next month.”
COBRA Network said it is also growing its range of member services with three new initiatives announced at the recent members' forums.
It said it has joined forces with ARM (All Risk Management), an independent risk management consultancy, to create COBRA Risk Management.
The new facility will provide COBRA Network members with a full range of risk management services, including business continuity, health and safety, fire management, driver training, security assessments, and training.
A new motor claims management service, COBRA Accident Management, was also announced.
