The Law Society may allow solicitors to cold call potential clients, following a review of the practice by its regulatory working party.
A society spokeswoman said: “The Law Society looked at cold calling last June.
“There was concern about allowing the practice, which the society's Regulatory Review Working Party is considering now.”
She said the working party would report to the society later this year on the issue.
