Compass Underwriting has become a member of the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC).
The appointment came into effect on September 14, 2001.
Managing director of Compass, Andrew Briant, said: "We are very pleased to have joined the GISC. We believe it is important that all insurance operations be part of one overall body that can give a clear and committed message to the public."
The independent underwriting agency has also announced the launch of its online quote system for approved intermediaries.
