The Compliance Consultants Steering Group has announced an action plan following an invitation from the FSA.
It said the action was to:
· Facilitate comments between consultants and the FSA
· To look at creating a professional body to provide a framework for accreditation, including a code of conduct, for consultancy firms.
It said consultancy firms had been invited to submit comments and matters for discussion to the forum.
The steering group will shortly canvas consultancy firms for their views on the quality criteria to be applied for accreditation, it announced.
