The Insurance Charities will tonight present the Centenary Charity Shield jointly to the Dublin and Shropshire & Mid-Wales insurance institutes at the CII conference in Birmingham.

Spokeswoman Annali-Joy Thornicroft said: "We donated the shield to the institutes which in our opinion have made the most significant contribution to fundraising and publicity."

She explained the shield had been jointly awarded because while the Shropshire & Mid-Wales institute had made a particular contribution to fundraising this year, the Dublin institute is the single institute that has raised the most money in the long term.

"We felt we should recognise Shropshire's contribution, as well as Dublin's ongoing high level of performance," she said.

The shield will be presented to the institutes by CII president Andy Homer at Thursday's gala dinner.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
