Connoisseur Policies has launched a product which it said would allow art and antiques collectors to insure specific items without interfering with their general household cover.
It said an online policy for art, antiques and collectables was developed in partnership with specialist UK household insurer Sterling Insurance Company.
The online policy caters for collections worth between £5,000 and £50,000, said the company. It offers accidental loss or damage cover for collections housed within the home.
The product is available through Connoisseur's website, connoisseurpolicies.com.
