London broker Cooper Gay has purchased a 51% stake in Hamburg-based broker Junge & Co.
Cooper Gay bought the stake from the insurance subsidiary of E.ON - E.ON Risk Consulting.
The subsidiary will keep a 49% stake in Junge & Co and commented that it looked forward to a "rewarding long-term partnership" with Cooper Gay.
The transaction is subject to merger approval.
