Mike Makowski set to boost broker's energy business

Cooper Gay has appointed onshore and offshore energy specialist Mike Makowski to boost the development of its energy business in the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe.

Reporting to Andrew Stammers, executive director of Non-Marine Energy & Construction and based in Cooper Gay’s London offices, Mike Makoswki brings more than 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, with the last 10 years focusing on the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe.

He formerly worked for Benfield Corporate Risk, Marsh and HSBC and commenced his career in 1978 with Glanvill Enthoven.

Andrew Stammers said: “The former Soviet Union territories and Central and Eastern Europe are key targets for our energy team and Mike Makoswki brings an extensive knowledge of these regions. I am delighted he has joined us and look forward to further success in developing these markets.”
