Crawford & Company, the loss adjuster, said it has mobilised its biggest ever international major loss team in response to the terrorist attacks in the US on Tuesday.
The firm said it would be calling in experts from around the world to assist with its operation to deal with what it calls "the most costly insured man-made disaster ever."
Crawford said its New York offices were unaffected by the attacks. It said its personnel are hoping to gain access to the site in New York (the whole area south of 14th Street is within an exclusion zone, at present) within the next few days.
