AXA has appointed Crawford & Company to handle all its subsidence related insurance claims, across all lines of business.
AXA Property claims head Pat Brady said: “Crawford's was selected on the strength of its technical and professional competence in this specialist arena.”
GAB Robins originally held the contract. Managing director Derek Coles said he was "disappointed" to have lost out on the tender.
However, he said he was "heartened" by AXA's decision to retain GAB Robins as its sole contingency provider
for subsidence.
AXA said it is also in the process of reviewing contingency arrangements for all of its loss adjusting contracts.
