Crawford & Company International has acquired Robertson & Company in Australia.
Crawfords' Australian Operations will be combined with Robertson's operations to operate as Crawford & Company (Australia) Pty Ltd.
The president of Crawford's International Operations, Jeffrey Bowman, said: "Robertson has grown to a position of pre-eminence in the Australian market as a result of its strong focus on client service and innovative approaches to the market.
"Our companies share many of the same values. We are committed to top quality service and the continuous development of employee knowledge and skills.
"Together, we will be able to leverage our investments in technology and expertise to enhance even further the quality and range of services we provide to clients."
The current managing director of Robertson, Laurie Bevan, will become chief executive of Crawford & Company (Australia) Pty. Andrew Bart will be named deputy chief executive officer.
It is anticipated the deal will be complete by the end of June 2002.
