Michael Walker joined by Richard Vardy on board

Risk management and business continuity specialist, Crisis Survivor, has appointed Michael Walker, a former Prudential Financial executive, as its new chairman.

Richard Vardy, former company secretary to both Union plc and Investec Group plc, has also been appointed as a board director.

In conjunction with the management team, they will be responsible for implementing Crisis Survivor’s developing strategy and driving the business forward.

Tony Gimple, managing director, Crisis Survivor, said: “We are currently looking to develop the business and drive it forward on a new level. Michael and Richard both have great vision and an incredibly impressive track record.

"They will each bring their own special brand of expertise to the business and we are delighted to have them on board.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
