Ian Darbyshire has been appointed chief executive of Bennetts Insurance.
For the last three years, he was the divisional managing director for Flexiform, a workplace design and supply firm. Prior to this, he was the divisional managing director of BET Group.
Bennetts is currently expanding its operation and recently acquired Graham Insurance Brokers in July.
But it has also invested heavily in technology, which Darbyshire says will accelerate the broker's growth.
"The new IT systems linked to the next phase of investment in state-of-the-art telephony and new call centres gives us the right platform to continue our ambitious growth," Darbyshire commented.
"We can now obtain and manipulate data that will enable us to further segment our customer base, and to target and track new and existing markets and products.
"Using the technology to link our customers' needs to our insurance partners, we expect to accelerate our growth at a rapid rate."
