Legal expenses insurer DAS has launched a scathing attack on Direct Line's takeover of breakdown assistance company Green Flag.
It claimed hundreds of brokers are now in the invidious situation of supporting their traditional enemy, Direct Line by offering Green Flag breakdown and domestic assistance cover to their clients.
"By continuing to sell Green Flag policies, brokers are supporting the opposition," said DAS managing director Paul Asplin who is anxious to promote the DAS product range.
