Two promotions and new offices for legal expenses insurer
DAS Legal Expenses Insurance has announced the expansion and relocation of its London office to accommodate a dedicated City underwriting team.
Emma Brooks has been promoted to broker development manager, tasked with developing the DAS position in the City’s legal expenses market. Brooks will be supported by Neil McDermott, formerly agency manager at DAS owned Amicus Legal, who has now taken up the position of senior account underwriter.
DAS is also set to appoint a broker account technician and broker account handler to complete the team.
Darren Weekes, broker sales manager for the DAS southern region says: “This is an exciting time for our southern team. We now have a dedicated underwriting presence in London, where Emma and Neil can be immersed in the legal expenses demands of the City, and use their expertise to aid our southern sales team.
“Neil has more than 20 years experience in the legal expenses sector, having worked for a number of different legal expenses companies, and his skills and his contact base are far-reaching.
“Emma has moved from an account management role to an account development role, in which she is more than capable of excelling. She has more than seven years experience in similar roles with both Norwich Union and Axa.”
To accommodate the expansion, DAS is leaving its office in St Helen’s place and moving to larger offices in Lombard Street, EC3.
