The Davis Group announced October 2002 year-end premium turnover of £27.4 million. This represents a 44% increase on 2001 figures.

The group said: "This has been achieved through strong sales & organic growth within both its retail & wholesale divisions."

The group specialises in the transport sector & commercial insurances, having sold on its personal lines portfolio this year. Further growth is expected in its wholesale operation, with the release of new schemes to compliment the existing facilities.

Chief Executive, Leigh Davis Smart, confirmed the group has set aggressive targets this year at £38 million. First quarter figures show 45% premium growth year on year.
