Cox Insurance Retail Division has appointed Denis Walker as chief operations officer (COO).
His new role has emerged from recent structural changes within Cox and has been created to bring together Cox's operational improvement, systems and HR resources to ensure an integrated approach is taken.
Denis spent 16 years with British Airways where he was responsible for designing and implementing BA's Customer First programme.
In 1995 he joined PPP healthcare as HR Director, subsequently becoming PPP's Operations Director, managing the restructuring and relaunch of PPP. Following PPP's acquisition by GRE and then AXA, Denis managed the integration of the companies involved, each time taking the role of UK HR Director in the new organisation.
Cox Retail CEO Neil Utley said: "We are delighted to have found someone of Denis's calibre and I am confident that he will play a pivotal role in the further transformation of our business operations over the coming months."
