Brokers Heath Lambert Group has joined up with Diabetes UK to provide the charity with a number of products and services.
In particular, critical illness insurance and life assurance will be made available to a far wider range of people with diabetes than before.
Critical illness cover can be acquired on a stand-alone basis through a panel of insurers.
Heath Lambert is also providing life assurance, as well home and motor insurance and travel insurance tailored for people with diabetes.
Affinity services director Simon Caplehorn said: “We have genuinely broken new ground. The project represents a further major success for the expanding affinity services arm of Heath Lambert Group.”
Diabetes UK is the new name of the British Diabetic Association. It claims more than 1.4 million people in the UK have diabetes. Another million probably have the condition but do not know it.
