Crowe has launched a fleet legal policy for hauliers and bus and coach operators.

This follows tighter laws for commercial drivers, particularly driving too many hours or for carrying stowaways.

Transport lawyers Pellys will provide advice on impending legal actions as part of the policy, and there will be a 24-hour phone service.

There will also be representation for operators at public enquiries and disciplinary hearings, as well as a free proactive legal health check.

The cover – which costs £55 per vehicle plus insurance premium tax – will also include legal costs incurred in defending claims involving motoring prosecutions, property disputes, employment legislation, driver hours infringements, taxation issues and contract disputes.
