Disputes with pressure groups, employees, the public, regulators and suppliers will drive up the need for risk management by corporation, according to insurance law firm DLA.

In a survey of the UK's largest organisations, DLA discovered that only 4% of organisations had not faced a legal dispute in the past two years. And of all the cases where litigation is used, 21% ended up in court.

The corporations recognised that the number of disputes is likely to rise.
