Eagle Star Life has launched a fund for investors wishing to cash in on property gains following news that growth in the commercial property market has slowed.

Eagle Star believes technology and industries based around intellectual property will be the growth sectors in the next decade. The TopTech 100 fund is linked to the NASDAQ-100 index, 80% of which is technology stocks.

General manager, investment and financial solutions, John Caslin, said: "With commercial property beginning to slow and technology stocks at January 1999 levels, investors should strongly consider switching some money out of property unit funds and into technology."
