Earl downgraded to cat 3

Hurricane Earl has been downgraded to a Category 3 storm and was becoming weaker and "disorganised" according to the Miami-based National Hurricane Centre, the Telegraph reports.

Forecasters warned that the storm could move north over the weekend, affecting America’s Labour Day holiday weekend and cancelling flights.
