Ecclesiastical says it remains committed to the Irish insurance market following the resignation of Ronan Foley, its managing director for Ireland.

In a note sent to Irish brokers, Steve Wood, managing director of Ecclesiastical’s UK and Ireland business, said: “Ronan Foley has resigned from his position as managing director of Ecclesiastical's business in Ireland to take up another position in the industry.

“This development does not change Ecclesiastical's commitment and plans for the Irish market where we see good opportunity for continued growth as a specialist insurer. We are commencing the process to appoint a new managing director, and will be engaging a search agency shortly.

“In the interim period our business will be led by Conn Cleary, our sales & marketing manager, and by Claire McKenna, our finance manager.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
