Digital financial services provider Egg has reduced the cost of its travel insurance products and included winter sports cover at no additional cost.
Cover includes single and annual multi-trip policies and offers special rates for individuals, couples, families and single parent families. Customers can choose cover for travel in Europe only or worldwide, and all have access to free 24-hour medical emergency and legal helplines.
Egg director of insurance Phil Ashkuri said apart from reducing costs, the company had also made it more convenient to buy insurance.
"In fact, we have found that the most popular financial services purchase to be made online is insurance, with 19% of internet users considering arranging travel insurance over the internet in the next two years," he said.
Egg's annual multi-trip policies start from £40.23. Policies can be arranged through www.egg.com or on 08451 222 888. Customers paying with their Egg Card will benefit from a discount of up to 10% on their premium.
