Endurance Specialty Insurance has appointed William Fawcett as its new claims senior vice president.

Fawcett will be responsible for managing Endurance Specialty's global book of claims and personnel.

Endurance Specialty chief executive Ken LeStrange said: "Fawcett offers a unique combination of leadership and technical expertise in the area of claims.

"We have great confidence in Fawcett's ability to protect corporate assets while ensuring the fair handling and payment of claims."
