Equity Red Star had strengthened its ten-year partnership with MCE Insurance by tailoring the products it provides to the broker.

The Northamptonshire-based niche broker has extended its range of ERS classes to include breakdown recovery insurance for motorcycles, taxis, commercial vehicles and specialist cars.

MCE will provide mandatory breakdown recovery to its 90,000 clients.

David Grant, ERS head of sales & marketing said: "The provision of car and bike breakdown cover will allow MCE to offer a more comprehensive service to its rapidly expanding customer base."

MCE director, Julian Edwards added: "Equity's growing product range will deliver long term benefits for us, especially in terms of developing our book of bike and specialist car business. As an independent broker, the alliance with ERS provides greater stability in this highly competitive market."
