Lloyd's syndicate opens fifth regional office
Equity Red Star has expanded its regional presence by opening a new office in Manchester.
The move was first reported by Insurance Times last month: Equity Red Star plans growth in the UKs high streets.
The Lloyd’s syndicate has already established fleet and special risks underwriting operations in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol and Birmingham, whilst further regional expansion is planned for 2010.
Head of distribution and operations, David Grant said: “We have ambitious plans to build a significant specialist underwriting presence in Manchester which is one of the largest insurance markets in the UK. We aim to do this by concentrating upon building strong local relationships and encouraging face-to-face business contact, allowing Equity Red Star to create tailored solutions for the leading locally-based brokers.
"Our regional offices also mean we are widening our talent pool by attracting underwriting specialists with valuable local knowledge.”
Equity Red Star’s new Manchester operation is housed in offices at Pall Mall Court in the city centre.
