Insurer moves 150 staff to new digs.
Equity Insurance Group has outgrown its Brentwood headquarters and is re-housing around 150 employees into a new office in the Essex town.
Members of its claims liability, classic car and motor breakdown teams are moving to the recently completed Kingsgate development close to Brentwood railway station.
Equity employs almost 800 people in Brentwood and a further 900 at offices and high street branches throughout the UK.
The move has given the group an opportunity to accelerate a number of its environmentally friendly responsibilities, with the installation of energy efficient sensors to ensure lights are only on when people are in the offices, comfort cooling systems to reduce the power needed to run air conditioning units and recycling areas to encourage employees to be greener.
In one form or another, Equity businesses have been based in Brentwood since the early 1960s.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
