Esure is to restructure its marketing and affinity business with the introduction of a new senior position to oversee acquisition.

The change involves the departure of Mary Davidson, current head of partnerships, pending what the company is calling further "integration across channels".

Esure chief executive Peter Graham said: "This restructure is intended to harmonise acquisition activity across channels during a period when esure is growing rapidly.

"The recent creation of esure's partnerships team quickly brought to the fore the need for more integration across channels under a combined strategy. We are acting quickly to bring this about.

"With rapid growth comes opportunities and we are prepared to move quickly to grasp them. Hence this move."

Head of marketing Chris Bowden is to oversee Davidson's role until a replacement is found.
