Lloyd's insurer Euclidian Underwriting has appointed Brian Hunt as senior liability underwriter of its Syndicate 1243.
The appointment takes place with immediate effect following the decision of Xavier Lutchmayer to step down.
Euclidian managing director Kevin Collins said: "I am delighted to confirm Brian's appointment as senior liability underwriter.
"We have every confidence in his ability to lead the liability team, which has a capacity of £25m for the current underwriting year.
"I am also delighted to confirm that Xavier will remain as a consultant to the team on a part-time basis until his retirement at the end of January 2004."
