Europ Assistance Holdings has acquired the business of Direct Assist Insurance Services (DAIS), part of Fortis UK.
DAIS provides for clients marketing, administration, claims management and underwriting facilities for a range of insured products, including extended warranty, breakdown insurance and domestic emergency assistance.
Europ Assistance said it anticipated that the acquisition would enable it to develop its presence in the domestic market with both new and existing clients.
