Small businesses accross the UK will receive a risk management boost following the award of a European Commission training grant.

Airmic in association with FERMA (the European Risk Managers' Association), the Institute of Risk Management and other Eurozone organisations have been awarded €208,317 to train small businesses in the art of risk management.

Known informally as the Leonardo Project, the training will be spread across Europe.

The first courses are likely to begin in 18 months, according to Airmic executive director David Gamble.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
