Quinn settles dispute
Quinn-direct settled the disputed claim with Murray Timber Products for £12m, Insurance Times has learned. The legal action centred on a claim for €54m (£36.4m) brought by the timber company, a Quinn policyholder, after a fire in its Galway plant in 2005.
THB profits rise 31%
THB Group reported a 31% increase in pre-tax profits for the year ended 30 April 2007. In its preliminary results, profit before tax was £2.43m compared to £1.85m last year. Turnover increased 11% to £28.7m in the period.
