Zurich Municipal said fears of compensation culture had not impacted on the number of fireworks displays it had insured for this year's bonfire night.
Ronan Ball, underwriting manager for Zurich Municipal's Community Insurance Centre, said: "We're insuring hundreds of bonfires and fireworks displays run by our customers across the country."
"Despite fears last year about the impact of the `compensation culture' on fireworks displays, we've seen no significant fall in the number of displays insured."
