Ashok Gupta has been appointed as the first chief executive of lloyds.com, the internet trading website.
The former chief executive of CGNU's home buyers website, assertahome.com, joined the Lloyd's team on Monday.
Gupta has 25 years' experience in the financial services sector and became CGNU's (formerly CGU) director of group strategy in 1997.
The lloyds.com site, which aims to help brokers conduct business online, is scheduled to launch later this spring.
