FirstAssist said it will be replacing Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) as the underwriter of its personal accident, cash plan, insured advice, legal expenses and travel insurance products.
FirstAssist said the new underwriter will be Great Lakes Reinsurance (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Munich Reinsurance Company).
The change of insurer will take place by way of an insurance business transfer scheme that, subject to the approval of the High Court, will take effect from 1 March 2006
