Outlook stable

Fitch Ratings has reviewed and affirmed the ratings of QBE Insurance Group and its main operating subsidiaries. Ratings covered by this affirmation include the 'A+' Insurer Financial Strength ratings of QBE's main operating subsidiaries.

The outlook on all the ratings is stable.

Fitch said the ratings for QBE reflected a good level of diversity, robust management controls and a prudent approach to reserving and capitalisation.

John Miles, senior director at Fitch Ratings said: "While QBE has built significant presence in a number of international primary insurance and reinsurance markets, principally by means of acquisitions - of which it has completed around 100 over the past 25 years - risks are generally well managed."

He added: "Furthermore, all businesses within the group are supported by experienced management, which places an appropriate emphasis on underwriting and risk control."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
