Fitch ratings has assigned Legal & General's (issuer default rating of 'AA-' with a stable outlook) issue of £600m step-up perpetual capital notes a rating of 'A'.

This is the latest step in Legal & General's capital restructuring plan. The securities are expected to be used for restructuring the capital base of the company and to fund the recent purchase of Nationwide Life and Nationwide Unit Trust Managers.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
