Fitch Ratings has affirmed the insurer financial strength ratings of the French property and casualty insurer Scor at BBB.
Fitch said the ratings reflected Scor's shift of underwriting towards covering short-tail risks, which the ratings agency said reduced Scor's risks assumed.
The ratings agency added that it favourably viewed efforts by management to improve the group's underwriting control and claims handling.
However it sounded a note of caution, claiming Scor faced a challenge in improving its capital adequacy.
