Folgate Partnership has appointed Peter Hollingdale as its underwriting chief.
Hollingdale will be responsible for establishing underwriting practices at Folgate. He will also be responsible for Folgate's personal accident and travel units, in addition to the Lloyd's and London Market teams.
He will retain his current position as managing director of the Folgate' commercial lines underwriting agency.
Hollingdale said: "The Folgate Partnership has a unique business model, and my role will be to balance profitable underwriting for carriers with the development of superior products and service for brokers and customers.
"It will be a challenge, but I believe there is a real opportunity for us to pioneer a way of doing things differently and more effectively."
